This is a student project that I worked on while attending The Rocky Mountain College of Art+Design, back in Denver, Colorado. This was done for a sign & symbol class, which was centered around developing a visual brand identity. Every year the classes did different categories, and my year did Olympic Games. We were to spin the globe and point a finger at it, and where the finger landed, is where our hypothetical client would be. Lucky me — I got Saint Petersburg! This is a pitch deck for a hypothetical Olympic Games host city brand identity, that I designed back in 2012. I did all of the research, framework / positioning for the creative, as well as all of the creative shown in the deck. I produced: a custom pattern, pictograms, tickets, a disposable camera & the medal. The medal was made out of modeling clay & spray painted gold. I photoshopped the medal into a picture of Lomachenko, who is a Ukrainian olympic boxer. Six years later, I got to work with him for a promo at ESPN.
