NBA on ESPN TV Spots

NBA on ESPN is one of the key properties at ESPN. The games are promoted with original topical TV spots. These spots run throughout the duration of the season and help tell the story of what’s happening in the league so that every game is unique and has it’s own narrative. The spots run on all ESPN networks, as well as ABC. Throughout the season, we collaborated with the producers in order to produce engaging game-specific illustrations. Later, the illustrations were storyboarded and animated to tell a compelling story. I was briefed on a series of TV spots that were being written by our marketing team. Together, we identified the themes in the spots, and I made these illustrations based on the established campaign look. On an ongoing basis, I produced these key art graphics on a per-spot basis for different on-air promos during the NBA season. These illustrations were brought to life with our creative production house partners at REVEAL42.
